Welcome to our web site. This is the Home page for the Aboyne and Deeside Festival. 2008 will be the 17th  year of presenting a programme of arts-based events in July.

Update

1. The 2008 Festival begins at the end of June, 2008. Our programme will be available towards the end of May, 2008. In the meantime, we are pleased to announce that Jonathan Miller will be one of our guest performers. He will appear on Saturday 26th July at 7.30 p.m. in the Deeside Theatre.

We Aim...

Festival Profile

Our Festival started seventeen years ago. It's initial aim was to bring to the Aboyne and Deeside area, performers of a national and international standard. Since its beginning, The Strathdee Music Club has grown for the Festival. In addition, a Film theatre operates during the year. The Festival is run by a UK-based charity - "The Aboyne and Deeside Festival Committee" ( Reg. Charity Number SCO 22329) Each year some forty events take place in and around the Aboyne area - part of Royal Deeside and a gateway of the Cairngorms National Park. In 2007 the Festival includes events in Ballater and Braemar.
