Festival Profile

Our Festival started eighteen years ago. It's initial aim was to bring to the Aboyne and Deeside area, performers of a national and international standard. Since its beginning, The Strathdee Music Club has grown for the Festival. In addition, a Film theatre operates during the year. The Festival is run by a UK-based charity - "The Aboyne and Deeside Festival Committee" ( Reg. Charity Number SCO 22329) Each year some forty events take place in and around the Aboyne area - part of Royal Deeside and a gateway of the Cairngorms National Park. Since 2007 the has Festival included events in Ballater and Braemar.
